As Jackie Gallagher who founded Sparrow Schools in South Africa says:"Volunteers are diverse in age, motivation, skills and country of origin but they all make a huge difference to the lives of the pupils and teachers at Sparrow."
Many of the volunteers who go out to Sparrow are in a gap year or have just left university but we also welcome volunteers who may want to take a break from their UK lives or who have retired and feel that they have something to offer Sparrow.
